I thought this photo was the one that best summed up our rosy-finch adventure from our New Mexico trip. After waiting a while a large flock of all three species of rosy-finches circled overhead a few times and eventually landed in a nearby tree. Once landed the birds were quite active and appeared to be jockeying for position for several seconds before exploding back into the air and out of sight down the mountain-side.
