It’s been a good winter for Least Grebes in the Houston area. These two were hanging out in the Wolfweed Wetlands at San Bernard NWR during a visit over the weekend. They were reported on the rare bird alert a few times recently and I planned on looking for them during my visit but I certainly didn’t expect to walk up and see them immediately. It’s nice when you get an easy one.
