After a foggy start to the morning on Friday we decided to give Shoveler Pond a try. To our delight we had several Sora along the auto loop. Most of them were pretty shy and ran into the reeds as soon as we stopped the car but this one stayed out for a few photos before giving us the slip. These birds are so tiny and fun to watch as they flick their tail up and down delicately plucking things from the water.
