On my way back to my car after a great visit to Bolivar Flats I noticed this Horned Lark and its partner darting around on the sand and decided to spend some time to see if I could get any photos. They were a little shy at first but I stayed very still for a while and eventually one worked its way close enough to me for a photo or two. They never got close enough for me to see what they were eating but it was fun to watch them for a while.
