While trying to get that one last shot of the day at East Beach in Galveston yesterday I tried to get close to the few peeps that were running around at water’s edge. For some reason they were extremely jumpy and getting close was just not happening. This Dunlin was the bravest soul on the beach and as I tried to follow its erratic movements, I stumbled on a shot that I really like. The dunes in the background remind me of mountains in some prehistoric landscape. It can be a lot of fun trying to see the world from the perspective of a bird that is only a couple of inches tall. I guess I should thank this little one for not being too cooperative ;)
