During our time in the rift valley of Ethiopia we visited Abidjatta-Shalla National Park. We started fairly early in the morning driving through open grasslands eventually encountering several of these Temminck’s Coursers. We took the opportunity to get out of the car and work on getting some low-angle shots of these bizarre looking little birds. It was definitely a thrill since we don’t have anything quite like them here at home.
