While making a “quick stop” at a flooded field near a road north of Addis Abba for Blue-winged Goose I spotted this Yellow-billed Stork off in the distance and a quick stop turned into the more typical lengthy stop. It was amazing how many new birds seemed to be everywhere making it quite challenging to move on to our intended destination. I got as close to this pink-backed beauty but unfortunately the water was too deep to get as close as I would have liked.
