We had to be careful when finding the right angle for a photo of this Spectacled Owl during our visit to Costa Rica last month. This bird is so neat looking we really wanted to do it justice with our photos but the bird didn’t make it too easy. Slowly moving to not make too much noise, step on a snake or trip over a snag, we eventually found a mostly clear view of this beauty. What a special treat!
