With the water disappearing from Olney Pond at Brazoria NWR there are some great opportunities to observe tons of migrating shorebirds. The mudflats are swarming with Least Sandpipers darting around all over the place plucking food items and chasing each other around. It seems like that even in migration they are a bit territorial, making them quite interesting to watch.
