In past visits to Cano Negro I have always seen many Green Kingfishers but for whatever reason during our visit last month this one was the only one we came across. Fortunately this one wasn’t concerned about us approaching by boat one bit. The most difficult part was keeping the white feathers from overexposing too much. It had been raining all morning and we had been wishing for better weather. When we encountered this kingfisher the sun had come out and we still weren’t happy, but as luck would have it a cloud came along and gave us some shade before the bird flew away. Some people are just never satisfied ;)
