Our visit to Tenorio National Park during our recent trip to Costa Rica was less birdy that I have come to expect from this wonderful park, possibly because the birds knew that there was some seriously bad weather on the way. Having said that, it wasn’t totally dead and we were able to find some exciting birds in the area including this female Black-throated Trogon. This particular visit was a lesson in persistence. We had to really search for each bird for the first couple of hours and just about the time I was ready to give up and move on we stumbled across a very nice flock of birds. Costa Rica never disappoints.
We will be doing this trip again next spring, if you think you might be interested more information is available here: www.texastargetbirds.com/group-photo-trips/2018-costa-ric...
