This Crab-eating Fox greeted us every morning at our first stop along the trans-Pantanal road during our visit to Brazil last month. It didn’t seem particularly shy but did seem to make some effort to keep a “safe distance.” Unfortunately I wasn’t able to see it actually live up to its name.
