While waiting for 2016 to end and 2017 to begin I thought it would be fun to go through some older photos and relive some past birding experiences. This Black-and-white Warbler shot jumped out at me as it really captured the feeling of spring migration on the Texas coast for me. This little lady was zipping along the branches searching for insects to try to “refuel” after her flight across the Gulf of Mexico. What a joy it is to see these tiny birds during their great journey. I hope that spring of 2017 is a memorable (in a good way) one for birding. Happy New Year to all!
