This Emerald Toucanet was a nice surprise for us on the third morning of our October Costa Rica trip. We arrived for our breakfast and this beauty was already enjoying his. He was so busy scarfing down berries that he hardly seemed to notice us clicking away. My biggest challenge ended up being getting far enough away to fit the whole bird and the cluster of berries in the frame!
