Egretta rufescens

This afternoon we spent some time photographing this Reddish Egret as it was fishing. As always with this species we were quite entertained as the lovely bird danced around catching fish. I tried to talk some of our group into laying down on the sand with me for a better background but didn’t get any takers though at least one of them got close. I think getting dirty was worth it.
