Poecile rufescens

Here’s another little beauty from our California trip back in January. The forecast was for heavy rain but we lucked out and had a nice morning and this chickadee was one of the stars of the show. I am told that the tree the birds were foraging in is a Monterrey Cypress. Whatever it is, I thought it made a neat setting.
