Mangrove Swallow

Costa Rica

Tachycineta albilinea

This Mangrove Swallow was one of two that we saw on a boat ride during our Costa Rica trip this past October. They let us get so close I couldn’t even focus on them anymore. It is always special when you can get that close to a bird.

I loved this moment on our trip. Those two swallows were so comfortable with us coming up on them.
