Pipilo fuscus

During our West Texas trip earlier this month we encountered a fair number of Canyon Towhees but most of the time we weren’t able to get a good photo because they really like to stay in the vegetation. This individual was the exception one morning when it sat on top of a bush for several minutes and let us take lots of pictures without any obstruction.
