Crotophaga sulcirostris

We encountered this Groove-billed Ani in Costa Rica in October taking a little sunbath after the sky cleared from a dreary morning. It was neat to see all the birds enjoying the nice weather. As is usually the case with Groove-billed Anis, this one was not alone. Though you can’t see it in the photo there were four or five others in the same bush.
