Ammodramus maritimus
Last Wednesday I took a photographer out to Brazoria NWR and one of the most frequently seen birds that day was Seaside Sparrow. For some reason the tide was unusually high and the birds got pushed further inland than normal giving us many opportunities to photograph these guys. It isn’t a common occurrence for me to see lots of Seaside Sparrows in plain view from the road so it was a special morning which was enhanced by it just being birdy in the refuge in general. We both agreed that it was an excellent day of birding and photography.
