Amazilia tzacatl

Another interesting thing we witnessed on the first day of the Costa Rica trip was this Rufous-tailed Hummingbird taking a bath using the water on some large leaves. I think Joseph was the first to notice it and thankfully he pointed it out to the rest of us. The bird would rub its body against the water droplets and get nice and wet then shake the water off.
