Himantopus mexicanus

Today I had the pleasure of spending some time at Bolivar Flats watching various shorebirds and waders with a photographer from Washington. One of the subjects we worked on that I particularly enjoyed was these Black-necked Stilts. Those long pink legs in the amazing blue water really caught my eye and by the time they flew off I must have taken 400 images of them.
