We had some of these on our farm growing up in northeast Texas. Daddy had to follow far behiWnd them to watch and see where they were nesting. The eggs were the best...........very small and deep, dark yellow - IMO much better than chicken eggs though hard to crack. Was fogged by one once and it ended up with a lot of my skin. I chased that dang thang all around and finally chunked a rock at him. To my horror, it hit him in the head and turned him for a loop. Never bothered me again!!! lol
