August 2008 trip to Colorado

Pictures from my summer trip from Seattle to Colorado to visit my folks and friends. I stopped at Yellowstone along the way, and saw some amazing country!

My first stop in Eastern Washington to load up on goodies	Yum, fresh cherries, peaches, and carmel corn	The mighty Columbia River at Vantage
At the end of the first day, I stopped to go rollerblading along Lake Coeur d'Alene	The Rockies in Western Montana	The infamous Anaconda mine and townsite

On the road again...	'The Gap' In this country, settlers were desperate for interesting scenery	Wyoming- 'A Fortress for Wildlife'- I drove across the entire state and didn't see a single wild animal outside of Yellowstone
As I arrived in Denver, the emergency broadcasting system welcomed me with a tornado warning!	After a day of helping my friend Kara unpack the boxes in her new apartment, I hit the road on my trusty bike	First stop, Eldorado Canyon, only about 10 miles away
