Monsoon patrol

On a patrol near Bien Hoa. During the monsoon you couldn't escape from the rain and the mud.

I remember the odor like it was yesterday. Do you remember having to take the floor cover off the APC and put sand bags in the floor compartment to protect us from the road mines? That muddy water would get in the bottom of the APC. Mosquito's would hatch in that slop.

What got me was the smell of the mud. Hope I never have to smell that again.
