Thanks for your comment under the picture. My second tour I was a door gunner with the 'Hoods'. Believe me, we had all the respect in the world for y'all! Besides being BRO's, you were our Brothers. We knew y'all wouldn't call us unless the s-it had hit the fire. There was no way we were going to leave you there if it was humanly possible to get you out! Besides the fire we received coming in, we knew it was down to the fire when y'all were joining us door gunners putting out suppressive fire. To us, to not get y'all out would have felt like not getting family out. There's some clown that made a comment that all we did was fly around, feeling cool and not really involved in anything happening on the ground.
