Medics Blumenfeld, Hinger & Norgon - Operation Shenandoah II, Oct. '67

My friends Mo Blumenfeld, Tom Hinger, and Jim Norgon. Operation Shenandoah II. Both Hinger and Norgon were wounded in the Battle of Ong Thanh a few days later.

Among the 3 of them during their tours they acquired numerous decorations for valor. Norgon and Hinger were both wounded multiple times and kept going back out with no hesitation. All 3 were great soldiers and great guys, whom I respect very much.

When Tom sent me the pics of all of us at the airport and in our seats i showed them to my wife. She just sat there in silence then she said "you have those pics and i have seen them before". We must all have swapped cameras and took pictures. I think we were going back to Viet Nam cause we had souvenir bags with us. Yesterday i dug through most of my slides and found a few more pics of us. Sure would like to get together with you guys someday.

I am almost positive the guy on the right Jim Norgon and the guy in the middle Tom Hinger went to Singapore on R&R at the same time as i did. I have pics of both of them at the airport in Singapore. If so Jim Norgon and i spent some time getting wasted in our hotel rooms. Hope somebody gets back with me regarding this.

Unfortunately history seems to repeat itself in the poor treatment these men received then and now upon their return home from war.I say shame on Canada and the U.S.
