The Lincoln company was founded by Henry Martyn Leland, who had founded Cadillac earlier in his career. In 1922 he sold Lincoln to Henry Ford. In 1931, Henry and his son Edsel brought out the Lincoln Model K, which showcased the finest quality they could produce. In 1932, the Model KB was brought out with a 12 cylinder engine and a redesigned body.
This particular Lincoln belonged to A.P. Giannini, the founder of the Bank of Italy, which later was renamed the Bank of America.
