COL (retired) Tom Grady with his son TJ several years ago. Tom was an outstanding platoon leader and XO (Executive Officer) with Alpha Co. 2/28th. He took care of the men and held them together after Alpha Company was decimated in the Battle of Ong Thanh. He was wounded in action twice and decorated for valor. TJ was an All-American soccer player at the US Naval Academy. He has served with distinction as a naval aviator through several deployments. He now holds the rank of CAPT (equivalent to Army Colonel), and is currently assigned as the Deputy Commandant of Midshipmen at the US Naval Academy. They are two of America's finest.
