The smoke from the California fires was heavy from the Sacramento Valley all the way up to Reno. Between the heat (93 when I got there and 102 when I left) and the smoke, I didn't stay more than a couple of hours in Reno. I came back by way of Lake Tahoe, where I found conditions to be just as bad. You couldn't see across the lake because of the smoke.
