Ananda Village is a religious cooperative community on 700 acres of land in the hills above Nevada City, CA. Around their hermitage are planted about 17,000 tulips. My wife and I came across a brief article and decided to visit. I'm glad that we did. The setting and views of the surrounding hills and valleys are beautiful, and the tulips and other plantings are spectacular right now although, with the weather heating up, they will fade soon.
