Here are the photographs from todays Soapbox competition. The District photographs has been provided with same so i'm sure they'll end up in the District gallery soon enough. Anyone not wanting their photograph published should let Barry know - though i'm sure that won't be an issue as I've taken out the one naughty photograph I had taken - you know who you are!


Thanks again to all the members (Sue Haynes, David Griffiths, Philip Bendeich, Eric Pace, Ian Burton, Kirrilie Oates, Dennis Lam, Tatiana Sapozhkova, Sophia Zang and Michelle Zhuang) that helped out on the day in their various roles.


Special mention and congratulations goes to the members who got up and had a go at ranting. These included Anik Patry, Jim Chuang, Margrit Fisher and Norman Handscombe. Donna and Eric also ranted to help fill in a small gap while the red box waited for their body painted competitor to arrive. Boy is it HOT in the Pace household tonight !?!?! Donna spoke on the topic of "women: opressed by their male counterparts". Eric couldn't wait to have a right of reply......... What fun we all had.


Dennis said to me after the event, it's a shame that people really don't understand the opportunities that exist beyond their clubs. After today, I'm sure you all agree that there is much to learn from being part of activities such as this outside our normal club environment. And a bonus for the organisation is that we become better known and build a public profile and supporter of the community activities.


Finally, Professional Speakers have a visitor attending their next meeting as a result of their clubs involvement with the Sydney Opera House Soapbox project. Way to go guys!
