Bridle details showing jib sheet turning blocks attached to green strop line, shackled to forestay adjuster chainplate for storage. Also shown are the roller furler for the jib (from a Hobie18), a TeloCat windvane attachment bracket and a jib luff tension adjustment wire below bridles with a turning block in the middle. This block is hanging from a short length of wire passing up through the furler drum to a brass hook. The hook attaches to the wire jib halyard after the jib is hoisted. Tension on the adjustment wire pulls the turning block and hence jib halyard downward, thus hoisting the jib higher up the forestay. Since the tack of the sail is shackled to the chainplate, tension is transferred to the sail.
