One evening our cruise ship captain announced he was taking us to a location that was guaranteed to have whales. Next morning (6 AM!) we arrived at the Hubbard Glacier. The captain said it was a difficult task getting the ship there in the heavy fog with the threat of icebergs...he almost abandoned the attempt.
