Here I've trimmed out the damaged areas and prepared the patch. I had to weld two pieces together to get one long enough to fill the hole. On top of everything else there's a nasty dent to be addressed. This could prove to be tricky because of the amount of welding and alignment to get the patch on in a way that minimizes finishing.
