Following flights from Boston to Maun, Botswana, via Dubai and Johannesburg, a total of 31.5 hours from lift off to landing, and an overnight in Maun,
we took a short hop from Maun to the landing strip in Nxai Pan National Park in the Kalahari Desert. The Kalahari is a large semiarid sandy savanna
that covers much of Botswana and parts of Namibia and South Africa.
