Belted Kingfisher at 13 inches); aquatic, piscivorous; occasionally hovers when fishing, but prefers perch hunting. Pied: aquatic, piscivorous; perch hunts & hovers.
Striped: insectivorous, dryland cavity nester. Malachite: aquatic, piscivorous; perch hunts from low reed.
