Inhabits open grasslands and savannas. Large, mostly terrestrial bird of prey,
given its own family, Sagittariidae. There are several hypotheses on the derivation
of the name "Secretarybird," but the most popular is: derived from its crest of long
quill-like feathers -- like secretary with quill pens tucked behind the ear.
