Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Uganda

After departing Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, we traveled a short distance north to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda, staying at the Volcanoes Mt. Gahinga Lodge just outside the park gate. We were rewarded with beautiful scenery and a variety of birds. Unfortunately, we could not see gorillas in the park, as the resident group had moved across the border to Rwanda and was inaccesible. Instead, we used the Mt. Gahinga Lodge as a base from which to go gorilla trekking in Nkuringo, in the southern part of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

thanx cris but iwould argue you and mgahinga authorities to construct a shopping arcade for tourists at kibugu trading centre its a town that has reached at its pick of development which is near mgahinga.

iwant to take this opportunity to send ma greetings to all the people residing around mghahinga park in gisozi parish in kibugu trading centre especially my mzee peter ndwanyi to keep on doing mash room growing since heis one of the beneficiaries from mgahinga gorilla trained as afarmer. iremain nirigiye fred a 2year student at makerere and aresident of kibugu trading centre.imagine what it feels to stay in kibugu trading centre locaed along mgahinga ntebeko road.

Thanks for the amazing photos Chris....I spent my child hood days in Bunagana I was six yrs old and now I am 48. Imagine what it feels like to see this place for the first time since the sixties!!!! Thank u.
