 As we descended the lower slopes of Mt. Bisoke after our one hour was up, we walked by this scene just a few feet away. Obviously we couldn't resist shooting a few pictures of Karisimbi and her baby together.

Visited this group yest, cutest lil 2 week-old baby is the new addition.. the 2 silverbacks still dominant! Got pushed by one of the female gorillas, an amazing experience!!

We visited in September 2010 and had a raucus time with the Amahoro Group. One of us was dragged by Umbumwe, several of our group were whacked and one bitten (lightly). We were very close and the space was tight. No real danger (we think) but certainly up close and personal with Amahoro Group. Best memories thanks to Placide and his crew.

I saw this group 2 weeks ago in Rwanda, there is not an amazingly cute 2 month old baby!! they're 18 in total now. thanks for the pix

My husband and I visited this group in October, 2008. It was such a beautiful experience and the silverback was so accomodating :) Also, one of the females got VERY close to us...within touching distance and just sat there for 30 minutes as we each took turns sitting in her presence. It was such a beautiful and memorable experience!

We have similar images of a wonderful hour with Ubumwe et al.

Just wonderful photographs. I visited this family a few weeks ago (beginning of October)and they were all fine. Kajoliti proved very amenable to photographs and he was looking good, minus paw. Karisimbi lay on her back, all round and podgy, noisily chewing on her stems. What an incredible experience it was. Thank you for providing images that I could dream of taking myself :-) Karen

Hi, I visited this group a couple of weeks ago and it was truly amazing. Although the silverback was not feeling as peaceful when we approached, as he charged at us twice! Only a friendly warning and I'm glad to say the guides looked after us well.
