Dyea, Alaska

(In 1896 Dyea was a boom town as miners flocked here on their way over the Chilkoot Pass to the gold fields of the Klondike. By 1898 it was deserted as miners disembarked at nearby Skagway with its deeper port and took the White Pass to the Klondike.)
