Spent Amaryllis plants from Christmas were put outside in the spring.
Late summer they're usually pulled to let dry and get ready for a late bloom in winter.
This was the first year that I actually had a bud coming out of the bulb and it's
grown into a 2 and 1/2 foot tall plant with four 8" blooms (width).
