Late-blooming perennials form the backbone of a pollinator-friendly fall garden. Coneflowers, Black-Eyed Susans, garden phlox, sedum, and gaillardia provide weeks of colour and attract a steady stream of bees and butterflies. Asters are especially valuable because they begin blooming when many other flowers are finishing. These flowers continue to produce pollen and nectar well into late autumn, often until the first hard frost kills the blooms.~ Wyman Gardens
* Look close, they also support some local pests.
