I just love this. Summer 2009 I met this giant cedar tree with a huge burl on it.A spirit if you will. I took a number of photographs. I altered this one by doing a 'mirror image and setting the rotation point for the 'mirror 1/2 way. This is the result. I then did some dodging and burning, passed over with a slight red hue to bring out the red in the cedar.Darkening the existing shadows really brought it to life. That is really all I did. There are faces all the way up this burl. This summer 2010 I went back and took some more photos from new perspectives. Some people see other animals such as 2 retrievers, or a beaver and many others.
