The Blue-Footed Booby is probably the most-photographed bird on Isla de la Plata, also known as the "poor man's Galapagos." Isla de la Plata is only 45 km off the Ecuador coast and is easy to get to on a day trip from Puerto Lopez. The wildlife on Isla de la Plata is similar to, but not quite as varied as Galapagos.
