Thanks Tim for your great compliments. These pics were shot using a Canon 10D with a Canon 500mm F4 L IS lens. Some of them (though I don't think most of the main bear action) were shot using a 1.4X teleconverter on top of the afore-mentioned lenses. Wow Curt these are REALLY good! All your galleries are great but I really love the yellowstone area so this is my favorite. I was there like Michael about the same time as you. I was wondering what camera and lens you were using to shoot the wolves and bears?

Yeah it was a great event. If you get national geographic check the May issue (I think it is May - might be June) and they have a VERY similar event with very similar pictures from Alaska.

Excellent Curt

The pic of the wolf ( #21M perhaps ?) and the grizzly just blows me away,I was in the Lamar Valley around the middle of May 04(9th to 16th)and that might be the same griz that I was shooting near Round Prairie.
