Well done Rod! Superb shot! What really catches my eye is the near monochrome look with nice color accents in the shoe and bottle. - angioman

Thanks Suey, Carole, Penny, Mary Anne & Tommy:-) I didn't crop any vectors (I hope) but yes Tommy I had to take some off the top & right side. I put the as shot one in Pending. Thanks all:-)

The angle of light is also very nice, adding to the three-dimensional effect.

Is this cropped Rod? I know you don't (normally) but Im asking anyway to make a point that if not it's an amazing compositional catch for so few tries. I can't think of any way to improve on it. I love the mixture of blurs and occasional spots of sharp detail where the subject and pan speed were in synch. -tv

Interesting composition - wonderful blurs of motion - great photo!

Pretty good panning Rod - I haven't mastered that technique. Good motion blur in the foot and spokes, nice composition, and I like the vectors! :-) CJ

Thanks Debi & YB:-) I'm not sure wot's funnier YB, me on roller skates or the missus on a bike:-)

Like this one - it seems to be bursting out of the frame- Debi

Brilliant how the leg runs along the top diagonal and the pedal the bottom. Also while you see the movement of the wheel and foot the pedal and frame are frozen in time.

I reckon to take this shot you were on roller skates being towed along by your wife on a bicycle.

Thanks Brent & Troy:-) Yes we have a bit of cold snap the last few days. Because of the cold I didn't get down to the point until about 8 oclock this morning & all the bike groups had been & gone. In the hour I was down there wiv me massive lens set on panning IS only two lone bikes came along so I didn't get much practice. I got one I liked with the muscles of the bike riders legs showing up OK but he wasn't wearing the sexy bike gear & had a sort of old mountain bike.

Excellent Rod! The angle of the leg/foot/pedal and placement of the wheel. Very good.

Well done Rod, this really gives a sense of powerful pedaling. I like the way you have framed this. I guess you are having some colder weather- the cyclist is wearings tights.
