I went back today to take the same shot but in sunshine.
Lying on my back on the ground waiting for the sun to appear from behind a cloud a group of young kids came and looked down on me.
The leader kicked me in the shoulder and asked "Are you dead mister?".
Embarrassed I struggled to my feet and came home.

I tend not to kneel or lay down to get picys anymore YB because everytime I do someone calls an ambulance:-)

Thanks for your sympathetic views on getting up - I did feel like a beached whale.
Us old far*s have to stick together.

Spot on Penny - after taking a shot you are happy with, you can be showered with s*** and not notice.

Thanks to everybody else for your comments.

The picy looks bigger than when I first saw it, I would have to see it again to be sure but I think the smaller version worked better for me. This works great for challenge & you did really well getting up after being on your back, no easy matter at your age:-) Well done mate.

No problem taking the shot. The pylon is in a public space, so just laid on my back and pointed the G9 straight up. While lying there I noticed the dark clouds - should have left at that point, but stayed to get a better shot and got soaked by the rain.
The sacrifices I make for this Challenge :)

I like this... well composed. I see the same green as iso. ~Lydia

This is terrific YB! Great perspective and b&w suits this with the nice clouds providing a perfect background for the tower. You didn't get arrested for taking this one did you? :-D CJ

Great perspective on this makes it more interesting than the usual, hence it stands out from the crowd. Not sure how you've done the mono conversion but on the right hand side of the picture, there are some green tinges along the sharpened edges. You may want to go back and desaturate it all?

...and how's your neck? Good shot turning the topic into an abstract rendering of visual tension generated by subtle asymmetries. Well done. -tv

Don't plan on having kids for a couple months :-)
I really like the symmetry and how the clouds vignette the pic! - angioman

How did manage to go underneath? Debi
