Subtle Power

A drop of Water on Rock... over and over, over time.

Seems simple and innocent...

But, before one knows it...
the Grand Canyon is there.

OK, I got it. How about "Magnifying Power?" -COAmature

Wot about the butterfly wings that kickstart massive storms. Maybe it's the two tone border robbing this picy of it's power:-)

I actually am very serious about the power of water over time. I think you folks are misunderstanding my intent or are underestimating the very real power of water. But, that's ok. I like it. :) ~Lydia

Dear Lydia, you are stretching the limits of sophistry - from a most delicate of images into a power ploy. Clever thinking. I like the twin water droplets but I think they seem more likely to dissolve without effect. -tv

Simple, I like it. - J.V.

Interesting interpretation! Nice image but subtle, VERY subtle! :-D CJ

LOL, Sue Anne.

Actually, it certainly has a good chance of having been there... Evaporation from the Colorado River... winds blow... clouds form over another place and rain happens. Then, in the end, I pull the faucet in my kitchen and there it is! The Colorado River! *grin*

So this is part of the Grand Canyon?
ctfchallenge09-Jun-2008 01:06
Thank you, Angioman. "They" say that the Colorado River dug the Grand Canyon. The Colorado River is filled with little, tiny drops of water. *grin* ~Lydia

Nice Pic Lydia - very sharp with just the right DOF.

BTW, I thought the Flood created the Grand Canyon? :-) angioman

LOL... enjoy yourself, Rod.

I actually put these drops on this slate just to photograph it for you, Rod. It's scary how my mind thinks, huh? *grin* ~Lydia

Now Lydia I know you girls have a way of making everything right but I don't think even Picasso would be able to interpret your power analogy of these little droplets creating the Grand Canyon. But wiv a topic like this we need all the help we can get. We had a little rain this morning so I will now go & shoot a flower wiv water drops onit & think up an analogy like wot you did:-).........Luv the tilt too:-)
