Inspired by Pops...master of painting with light.
I liked the idea soooo much that I wanted to do "A painting with flash"
This is an feeble attempt of that.

10s f/20.0 at 24.0mm iso100 full exif

Thanks CJ!!
I am not sure if 430EX does multi-strobe, I know 580 does though.

Cat, I love this effect, and a terrific composition too and I want to try it! Can I do this with the 430EX? :-) CJ

Thanks Penny and Rod...
Penny, If you call test of patience = fun, then this certainly qualifies :-)
Rod, yes, it was a multi-strobe, hand held, fired several times, from various angles, low powered and all. It was shot outdoors after dark. The flower movements were totally natural, by a gentle breeze. I suppose the continuous light of the torch vs. the discrete pulses of the flash makes the difference. Why not exploit it to see what it can do... may be I'll try it again if its appealing enough.

I'm confused when you say painting wiv light. The picys I've seen of Pops are one subject painted wiv the light of a torch which gives a very nice look but not a strobe effect you have here. This is like a mult exposure type picy. Did you fire the flash wiv very low power lots of times & moving the flowers each time? This looks good to me.
